Will my Thai girlfriend get a 2nd tourist visa to the UK.?

Will my Thai girlfriend get a 2nd tourist visa to the UK.?
I have already been a sponsor for my Thai girlfriend to come to the UK. We got the UK holiday visa in May 2010. The visa was issued for six months. My girlfriend came to the UK in May 2010 and now it is November and time for her to return to Thailand.
Will my Thai girlfriend get a 2nd tourist visa to the UK
As your Thai girlfriend has immigration history with the British embassy you are in a good position to apply for another visa. The problem is the amount of time she remained in the UK. A UK Tourist visa is issued for the reason of a holiday, the British embassy could easily take the view that people cannot take a six month holiday and are therefore misusing the UK Tourist Visa.
When you girlfriend returns to Thailand in November 2010 I would suggest that you wait for 6 or 7 months and perhaps reapply for the second visa in June 2011.
I would also suggest that your girlfriend starts paid employment when returning to Thailand, keeping all of the payslips etc.
If you need any advice please contact us at any time. We are a visa company based in Pattaya. The Company is Key Visa Thailand.

A Thai girlfriend that will never get a UK travel visa
This week I was contacted by a British man that met a Thai bar girl in January 2010. July 2010 he returned to Thailand to share a two week holiday with her. He reported that they had a great time together; traveling to Phucket, Krabi, Bangkok and Pattaya.

His Thai girlfriend no longer works at the bar as he now sends her 15000 Baht a month while in the UK helping to support her and her family back in the Thai village.
Towards the end of the holiday they decided that for the next holiday the Thai girlfriend should visit the UK. This would help the British boyfriend out as he has ran out of holiday days from work.. (Though it is worth remembering that in the UK you can request to take unpaid holidays)
When the British man returned to the UK he contacted our office and explained that he wanted to get a UK visitors visa and his girlfriend had a friend at the embassy that for a fee would sneak her passport into the embassy and personally put the visa in the passport.
Obviously the man from the embassy wanted a backhander of 40,000 Baht, and also told his Thai girlfriend that she would need another 40,000 Baht in her bank account for the visa.
The British man was unsure if to believe his girlfriend and contacted us so we could give him our opinion.
The first point I made was; why would a man from the embassy who can stamp the visa into the passport also request that the girlfriend put more money into her bank account. If he can issue the visa without an application, why would he need to see her bank account?
I asked a Thai member of our staff to contact the girlfriend and explain that the British boyfriend had contacted us about a visa, who also explained how our office works and how we could over time ensure that a visa would be granted. The Thai girlfriend told our staff member that she wasn’t interested in going to England.
It is obvious that in this case the Thai girlfriend was trying to get 80,000 Baht from the British boyfriend with no intention of traveling to England. We know that it is not possible for a member of staff at the embassy to grant a visa without a correct and complete visa application with supporting documents.
The British man took the news very well but I could tell he was angry, he didn’t understand why she would try to con him for money as it sends it to her every month.

Don’t believe everything you hear in Thailand, not everything is as it seems. Saying that, not all people in Thailand are out to con you. Some of the Thai girls are looking for a relationship and some are only looking for fast cash.

Holiday Villas Pattaya
Normally I only give information and advice about getting your girlfriend a visa back to the UK
But it occurred to me today that it might be a good idea to spend time with your girlfriend away from a hotel and all of the comforts that it offers, like maid service, room service.
Why not consider booking into a house or holiday villa in Pattaya. This will give both you and your girlfriend a great opportunity to get to know each other better.
Without hotel distractions, maybe you can cook for each other, go shopping for food and other house hold products.
What I am trying to say is spend some real time with your girlfriend before bringing her to the UK

Money cannot buy a visa.
Today I was contacted by a man in Pattaya, He is from the UK. He owns a house in Spain, England and Jomtien. At the end of March 2010 he will be returning to Spain for two months, then moving on to the UK. In July 2010 will be returning back to Thailand.
He met a Thai lady in a Beer bar in Pattaya in December and would like her to return to Europe with him.
After asking a couple of questions, it became very clear that at this time his new Thai girlfriend will not be granted a visa. I also told him that two visas would be needed,
1) For Spain
2) For the UK
He thought that one visa would allow his girlfriend free travel around Europe. People in Pattaya bars had told him this was the case.
I tried to explain this to him, but he quickly became annoyed, telling me that his new girlfriend will return to Thailand because he has a home in Jomtien. My reply was that his assets are not hers. Even with assets the British embassy would not grant a visa because they cannot show that they are in a real relationship.
Money cannot buy a visa.
He then said, In Thailand everything can be bought, how much it will cost to buy a visa and bypass the application. He was not happy with my explanation which explained that British visas are not issued in Thailand, but on British soil, making it impossible to buy them from under the table. Money cannot buy a visa. Not a British one anyway.
The conversation went on a while with him trying any angle to get the answer that he wanted to hear.
My final advice to him was, go back to Spain and the UK, keeping in touch with your Thai girlfriend. When you return in July 2010 bring all of the contact evidence to our office and we can then give you an accurate time scale of when a visa will be issued.

This is important to understand, the reason why neither the Spanish or British immigration would grant his girlfriend a visa is to protect her. After knowing him for a hand full of weeks, no embassy would think it safe for her to travel to a foreign country with a man she hardly knows.

All in the name of a visa she does not want and will not apply for.

We meet many couples that are genuine. They come to us because they are looking at getting a visa so she can return to the UK for a holiday. In my cases our work is extremely rewarding. Meeting British guys that have Thai girlfriends, she wants to go to the UK and he wants her there as soon as possible.
Every now and then we meet couples not in the same situation. For instance today I was introduced to a British man that would like to arrange for his Thai girlfriend to visit the UK
The man is presently in the UK. After speaking with him for a few minutes a felt that the relationship wasn’t quiet right.
He explained that his Thai girlfriend had told him to get a visa it would be a good idea for her to Travel. This would leave immigration stamps in her passport that would show that she returns to Thailand within the time scale given.
I asked him where is Thai girlfriend is today, he explained that she was in Hongkok for three days and when she returns would be traveling on to Cambodia. Then when back in the UK she would be able to apply for a UK visa.
Your Thai girlfriend traveling to Hong Kong or Cambodia without you will not help in any way towards applying for a UK visa.
Without any other information I conclude that his Thai girlfriend is presently having a fantastic holiday in a 5 star holet with her latest boyfriend that needed some company to travel south east asia with.
She needed a story as to why she would be away from Thailand so she chose to tell him half a truth. Not only is she in Hong Kong on a all inclusive holiday, plus payment for services in kind, her British boyfriend sent her money to cover her air fare, hotel and spending money.
Can you believe was she has done
She has convinced her boyfriend that she needs to travel to Hongkong to help get a visa, so he has given her the money for the trip. Then she has flown off on holiday, first banking the money from the boyfriend. Then on her return to Thailand will be banking the money for her services in Kind.
All in the name of a visa she does not want and will not apply for.

Thai girlfriend no trust, no visa,

As from January 2010 any clients we take on we ask for a very small deposit and then ask for the balance when the visa has been issued. We need to be sure who is series about getting a visa for their Thai girlfriend to come back to the UK for a holiday.
When clients first approach us we ask many questions about their work in the UK, where they live, how many times they have visited their girlfriend in Thailand, where the Thai girlfriend is in Thailand, does the girlfriend work, if so doing what job etc.
We need to ask certain questions so we can be certain that the client will qualify and is in a position to apply for a UK visa for their Thai girlfriend.
One sponsor that contacted us originally in January 2010 said that he wanted to get a 3 month tourist visa for his girlfriend. Having not heard back from him I contacted him today and asked if he wanted to move forward with the application. He explained that he would like his girlfriend to come to the UK, but doesn’t trust to send her money as he thinks she will run off with it. The lack of trust from this man is some what worrying.
He would like his girlfriend to trust him while she is in the UK, 1000’s of miles away from home and from her supporting friends and family, that he will care for her every need and ensure she remains safe in the UK.
He would also like the British embassy to trust that he will take his responsibilities as a visa sponsor seriously and that he will take care of his Thai girlfriend while she is in the UK.
However he is not able to trust his girlfriend with a small amount of money, an amount of money that he can easily afford to lose. What does that tell me about this relationship? We all know that on many occasions Thai girls will take what money they can and disappear. But we are talking about a small amount of money here. His girlfriend really wanted to visit him in the UK, she had spoken to our staff on several occasions and was excited at the thought of visiting England.
A relationship without trust is no relationship at all, I would imagine that this Thai girl will no longer wait around for him to arrive for a two week holiday. His lack of trust might make him number 2 on the list.

The 5 steps of grief after being refused a UK Visa
You might laugh, but how will you react if you are refused a UK visa? You will not be happy that is for sure.
From our meetings with British boyfriends these are the steps they go through after their Thai girlfriend have been refused a UK visa

The 5 steps of grief after being refused a UK Visa
Getting your girlfriend a visa is not a lottery, it isn’t a game of chance. The secret to getting a visa is good preparation. When the visa application is presented to the UK border officer, he (she) will be looking for more than an application form and black biro pen.
Every statement you make must be backed up with hard evidence. This evidence will take you months to collate and prepare.

The 5 steps of grief after being refused a UK Visa
- Denial — This cannot be so, the embassy has made a mistake, they haven’t read the application correctly, no this isn’t right. We should have a visa, check to make sure that it is our paper work and application.
- Anger — I am not having this, I am going to complain to the British ambassador at the embassy. I know people that have got visas and not in the same position as me and my Thai girlfriend. What about all those other people that enter the UK every year to work illegally.
- Bargaining — Telephone calls to the embassy pleading “ Please re consider, followed by trips to their local UK MP “Please help me get a visa for my Thai girlfriend we are so in love”.
- Depression — "The embassy have got it in for us, we are never going to get a visa. How am I going to spend time with my girlfriend now ?
- Acceptance — "Finally understanding that mistakes have been made, and its not the end of the world. Perhaps the visa could be applied for again but this time with a better understanding of what the embassy require.

What is Minimum age for Thai girlfriend and a UK visa
My Thai girlfriend is 17 years old; we met via my father who has lived in Thailand since divorcing my mother 12 years ago. My Thai girlfriend lives in the same rural village as my father’s new wife.
We talk every day and would like her to come to the UK to see my friends, my life and British culture. What is Minimum age for Thai girlfriend and a UK visa?
A Thai national can get a tourist visa from any age without restriction if it is a family member traveling with them, i.e. mother or father,
The rules change when a British boyfriend is the sponsor of the UK tourist visa application.
To ensure that Thai girls are not being taken advantage of, the British embassy will not look at any relationship prior to the Thai girlfriend being 18 years of age. Allowing for the passing of time to demonstrate that a real relationship has formed between the British sponsor and the Thai girlfriend, the minimum age for a Thai girlfriend UK visa is 19.

I would like my Thai girlfriend to live with me in the UK.
My Thai girlfriend who i met in Pattaya on holiday is with me in the UK the visa will expire in April 2010. Can we extend the tourist visa here or will she need to return to Thailand?
I would like my Thai girlfriend to live with me in the UK. I own a business and she would have a job with my company.
Any advice please.
If your Thai girlfriend is in the UK on a tourist visa, she will have no choice but to return to Thailand.
When In Thailand you have three options
1) Wait 6 months then apply for a new tourist visa
2) Get married in Thailand and apply for uk settlement visa
3) Apply for a fiancée visa which will allow her to travel to the UK for 6 months, if in that time you marry, she will then be able to extend the visa for 2 years, after the 2 years she will be able to extend it indefinitely
The good thing about getting the fiancée visa is that you can do most of the work now before she returns in April and then when she returns in April the application could be made within 10 days of her return to Thailand and within 3 more weeks will be returning to you in the UK. You will not need to return to Thailand. Only Fem will be needed here.
We can help you obtain a UK fiancée visa . If you are ready to move forward we will be able to give both you and your partner a list of requirement that you will need to full fill to ensure the embassy will grant a uk finacee visa.

Thai wife UK state pension

Thai wife UK state pension
The world often isn’t fair and sometimes deals the toughest cards to the people with the least in society. As unfair as it may seem any man on a UK state pension with no other income will not be able to get his Thai wife back to the UK to live on either a spouse or settlement visa. This means that even if he is married his wife will not be able to obtain a visa to live in the UK
Age discrimination UK
In December 2003 the UK committed to legislating against age discrimination under the EC Directive on equal treatment. Refusing to allow a Thai wife to live in the UK with a British husband that only receives a state pension has been found not to
break the age discrimination rules.
Obviously men over the age of 65 that cannot get their Thai wife back to the UK to live feel that it is only about age. On occasions the men get their wife to apply for a UK marriage visa in Bangkok and when it is refused then get a solicitor in the UK to appeal against the decision listing age discrimination as the reason for appealing the visa refusal. None of these appeals have been successful.
Let’s look at the reasons why.
Thai wife UK state pension
We were promised a pension for every man or woman that works in the UK. Every week we pay a small amount of money as a national insurance payment. With the promise of continued free health care and a State pension from the age of 65 (for men).
We do however have the chance to privately save for our golden years. The truth is that people living on a state pension are living on the poverty line with very little money to spare. For many decades we have been advised to take out private pensions or make investments that will not be means tested at the time of retirement. So throughout our lives we all received the same information. Some people managed to get a private pension or make investments while others sadly for many reasons were not able to.
Part of the requirements that the visa officer looks at while deciding the outcome of a visa application is - will the Thai wife become a burden on the British state? If the British husband only has a state pension then the Thai wife will be using some of that money to live on therefore she will be a burden on the British state.
The only option available to a British pensioner with a Thai wife and a state pension is to apply for a UK tourist visa. This will at least let you spend 6 months together at a time in the UK.

Thai wife UK visa information 2010
The year is 2010 and there is a lot of information readily available on the internet regarding the rules of immigration and migration from Thailand to the UK. Yet people make so many big mistakes and as a result have no change of getting a visa for their Thai wife or girlfriend.
Often the mistakes they make are so big that it will be many years before the UK border agency would ever grant a visa.
This week a 22 year old man from the UK came into our visa office in Pattaya and explained that he would like to get his Thai wife back to the UK.
We asked some of the basic questions like
“How long have you know your Thai wife”
“When did you marry?”
“Did you marry in Bangkok or was it a Thai village marriage”
“How old is your Thai wife”
We were shocked at the response that we were given
I have known my Thai wife for 3 months. We met on the internet and we feel in love. We speak every day on the internet. I came to Thailand two weeks ago and got married in Bangkok and then a Thai marriage in the Village. My Thai wife is 17 years old. We want her to come to the UK so she can work and earn money as her family is poor.
I thought it best that I give him the bad news by first explaining the Thai wife UK visa information 2010. This is upto date information readily available on the internet that he really should have researched before getting so involved.
Even if married you cannot get a UK spouse visa or UK settlement visa until your wife and you are both at least 21 years of age. That means if his Thai wife is 17 today, she will not be able to live in the UK for another 4 years.
Because the Thai wife is under 18 a UK tourist visa will not be issued.
His Thai wife cannot get any visa to the UK at this time.
Needless to say that he was devastated and angry.
To any outsider it is obvious that this couple does not know each other and as she will remain in Thailand and he will have to return to the UK, with the chance of 2 two week holidays to Thailand it is unlikely that they will ever get the change to know each other.
Even if the Thai wife was 21, in the same circumstances other UK visa requirements would result with the visa being denied.
IF you meet a Thai lady on the internet and it is three months before you first visit her in Thailand, when you arrive in Thailand it will classed as you have known each other for one day. Meeting in person is when you can start counting the amount of time.
The visa office in this case would have looked at the application and seen that this was his first trip to visit his Thai partner, knowing her for less than two weeks. The visa would be denied.
We tell people every day, do not marry your Thai girlfriend to obtain a visa, being married will not get you a visa.

Can my 19 year old Thai wife and our baby get a visa to come to the uk?
Thai wife and our baby get a visa to come to the uk?
My 19 year old Thai wife is pregnant with our first child, we are not married. We have been in a relationship for 1 year and I would like for her to come to the UK, if possible I would like my baby born in the UK, if not I would be just as happy if they could visit me after my new baby is born.
The UK visas available to your Thai girlfriend are limited to just a tourist visa. The reasons you would not be able to apply for a UK Settlement visa or UK fiancée visa is that both of you have to be 21 years or older.
Thai doctors do not recommend that pregnant ladies take long haul flights after 6 months pregnancy. Getting a visa could take you several months to get all of the paper work and documents together.
The problems you have ahead of you.
If you Thai girlfriend applies for a UK Tourist visa and is called for an interview at the Embassy, seeing your girlfriend pregnant, the embassy clearing officer could take the view that she is only going to England to have the baby, or that she wil not return to Thailand at the end of the visa. These simple reasons are enough for the clearing officer to decline the visa.
Your 19 year old Thai wife will not get a UK settlement visa, she could apply for a UK tourist – visitor’s visa.

Thai Girlfriend Travel England and Ireland

Hi I am a dual Irish and British citizen. I met my Thai girlfriend in Pattaya and we speak on the phone every day.
I would like to apply for a visa so my Thai girlfriend can travel to England and Ireland. I would like is so she can come to England to see where I live and then travel to Ireland to meet my family. Will my Thai girlfriend be able to travel to both England and Ireland on a British tourist visa?
This will not be an achievable. Getting a visa for England will be the easier of the two as you the sponsor live there etc. For your girlfriend to be able to travel to Ireland, a separate visa will be needed, a visa from the Irish embassy.
A British visa will allow your Thai girlfriend to visit
Scotland
Wales
England
Northern Ireland
An Irish visa will allow your Thai girlfriend to travel to
Ireland.
I am not recommending or giving the following information as advice, but only explaining what other people in your situation have done in the same position.
After obtaining a UK tourist visa, your girlfriend will be able to visit England and Northern Ireland. If you were to book a flight from England to Belfast and then hire a car, from what I understand there are no checks at the Northern Ireland – Southern Ireland border,
The correct way to enter both England and Ireland would be to make two separate visa application, one with the British embassy and one with the Irish Embassy. But knowing how difficult it can be to obtain visas, I have a strong feeling that one of the two will be refused, the country you do not reside in.

One quick question
One quick question although i live on my own i have not got divorced as yet from ex wife but been seperated for six years,i can prove this via a solicitors letter, but am little concerned if this will affect the visa application for my Thai girlfriend, we only want a holiday visa.
When you are in a relationship with a Thai partner, even though you may be married but separated, you will be ok to get a visa, or to put it a better way, the UK embassy in Bangkok will not hold it against you. You may be married, but you are only applying for a UK Tourist Visa

3 Thai girlfriend UK Visa Questions 1 Answer
My Thai partner has been to the Uk before ?

When I spoke at length with this gentleman from the UK, I learnt that the thai girlfriend had been to the UK 3 years ago with a previous boyfriend, she had not been to the UK with the new boyfriend. For a visa application this means she has no immigration history with this relationship.
Would she be able to stay in the Uk after the 6 months if we got married?
The thai lady will not be able to get married in the UK on a tourist visa, it will be very unlikely that you will receive a fiancée visa if she has not been to the UK to visit you previously.
Would it be easier if she had a Job to come to in the UK ?
I guess that the job would be an unskilled job. The UK immigration department are not going to issue a visa for a Thai person to come to the UK to do an unskilled job. 2009 1 out of every 4 people between the age of 18 and 25 are out of work. The UK really doesn’t need any more unskilled workers right now.
The only visa which is suitable in this situation is a Tourist visa, or a visitors visa. This will allow your Thai partner to visit the UK for up to six months. At the end of this period of time they will have to return to Thailand, but it would then be possible to apply for a Settlement visa (if you are married) or a finacee visa to get married in the UK

Holiday in Pattaya and a new Thai girlfriend
Holiday in Pattaya and a new Thai girlfriend

I have just returned from Pattaya after two weeks. I met a Thai lady and have fallen in love with her. After our two weeks together and meeting her family in Bangkok it has been agreed that I would like to take my new Thai girlfriend back to my home in England for 6 months on a tourist visa.
At the moment she has no passport and therefore in the next month she will apply for one in Bangkok, I understand that once a passport is granted that a visa should take less than 3 months , my intentions is to come again in November and return to England with my girlfriend. Could you therefore give me any instructions for this purpose?
The amount of men that visit Pattaya for a two week holiday and return to England in fill belief that they are truly in love. The British embassy hears this every day of the week and do not take such relationships serious. It would be a waste of time and money to make a visa application after only a two week holiday romance. The British embassy likes to see a relationship that has taken place over many months with evidence to back it up. In probability this relationship will be over well before a successful application could be made.

2009 and the UK visa rules
The credit crunch of 2009 pushed many British men back from Thailand to the UK. Many of these men are now trying to get their Thai girlfriends and wife’s back to the UK, but with no money and no job, there is little chance of a visa being issued.

UK Visa question 2009
I have been living in Thailand for the last 6 years.
Me and my new Thai girlfriend lived together for over two years. She always took care of my children. The children are not hers but form a former relationship I was in with a Thai lady.
As we lived together for two years, we have no evidence of being together, her name is not in the Thai house book, and her driving license is still registered to her parents’ home in the village. We have no letters, phone records or Emails.
As I returned to the UK because I have run out of money and cannot afford to stay in Thailand I am now living with my sisters in the UK. I am looking for work, but with the credit crunch there isnt much work about and what is available is low pay, so I will not be able to get my own place for a while.
I would like to get my girlfriend a visa so she can come and live with me here in the UK, if she could work also we could get a place between us. My sister says that she will be the sponsor. Do you think a she will get a Visa.
UK Visa information 2009
Only married partners may apply for a UK settlement visa, this is the only visa available that will allow your Thai partner back to the UK to live and to work. As you are not married you will not be granted a UK settlement visa. As you have no money at this time, it is likely your Thai girlfriend will be refused a tourist visa (UK visitor visa).
The other problem you will face with this application is the lack of evidence to show you have been together for 2 years. The embassy will only believe what you can demonstrate. So if the first emails, letters or calls are 3 months old but you have been together for 3 years, the embassy will only class the relationship as 3 months old.
Your sister will not be able to sponsor your Thai girlfriend; you are in the relationship not your sister.
The problems from the sponsor side are that large that there is no possible chance of a visa being issued at this time. We have not taken into account your Thai girlfriends information. For instance if she was looking after your children in Thailand she is not in full term employment? What about a place to live?
The best advice in this situation is to get your life back on track in the UK. Getting work, some saving behind you and a place to call home. When you have all this in place, then it will be time to look at the visa application.
