As of June 2007 any child born in or out of wedlock, between a Thai lady and British man can now obtain a British passport.

The rules changed for Thai – British children born before June 2007, but these children will still be able to get a British passport after going through the British Naturalisation process.

Prior to June 2007 children born out of wedlock could not obtain a British passport,
